Congratulations to our team member Rory Hurford who is a finalist in the Dubbo Business Chamber, Trainee of the Year Awards.
Bob Berry Real Estate have always believed in the benefit of on-the-job traineeships and are proud of Rory having just completed his traineeship after 3 years combining work and study commitments, most of which was in an online environment.
Bob Berry Real Estate also currently have a school-based trainee, Macy Everingham who will complete her traineeship in November and continue to full-time employment plus Jen McGrath who completed her 3-year traineeship in our office.
Rory says whilst he was nervous at first, he quickly realised that the real estate industry is the perfect fit for him. The traineeship has given me an enormous opportunity to view all aspects of a career and real estate and recognise the various career pathways that are afforded to someone in the industry. It has confirmed my passion for property and helping people while making an impact.
Jane Donald also commented that in any industry the best place to learn is on the job, the traineeship allows the trainee to combine the practical and the theory together and gives them an understanding of the culture of a business. A traineeship promotes growth and learning and is an excellent way for the trainee to have easy access to resources to assist with their study. One thing we are always proud of is how experienced staff are willing to assist trainees with their study, answering questions and allowing them to troubleshoot or use others knowledge to assist with completing their study.
We all congratulate Rory on the outstanding achievement of being nominated for the award and thank the Dubbo Business Chamber, and the sponsors SJ Shooter and Verto (Western college)
